Our sustainability strategy

Our Purpose and sustainability vision are one and the same: ‘Keeping the world flowing for future generations’.

We have sharpened our focus on our sustainability agenda, recognising its potential to support a competitive advantage and create sustainable value for stakeholders. We published a new sustainability framework in 2021. It is based on three pillars: ‘Operating responsibly’, ‘Enabling a sustainable future’, and ‘Making a positive social impact’.

Our framework has been developed around our priority sustainability topics and associated UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), with input from a broad range of stakeholders from around the world. We have committed to specific goals within each of these pillars, to help drive progress against out chosen SDGs.
