IQT3 Pro Shutdown Battery intelligent part-turn actuator provides fail-to-position functionality in the event of a mains power loss in hazardous and non-hazardous environments. The integral battery pack provides a compact, explosionproof shutdown solution. The shutdown failure mode can change depending on customer requirements.
Features
• In the event of mains power loss, the Shutdown Battery automatically moves the actuator to a pre-configured safe position (fail-to-position)
• Fail-to-position can be fail-closed, open, stayput or go-to-a-per-cent position, depending on what is needed to ensure the process fails to a safe operating state
• The IQT Shutdown Battery features an Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) mode, allowing normal operation of the actuator until the battery charge has run out
• With mains power applied to the actuator, the batteries are charged from the actuator
• Watertight and explosionproof to international standards
• Benefitting from design features and industry-leading reliability of the intelligent IQ3 Pro range
• The IQT3 Pro range builds upon the industry-leading IQT3 with the addition of a ‘connected platform’, enabling the development of new features to drive digitalisation and future-proofing of electric actuation
• IQT3 Pro range can be configured and controlled via the Rotork App for smartphones which also allows data log extraction from the actuator. Data logs can be exported from the App to Rotork Insight 2 software or sent to Rotork’s secure cloud-based intelligent asset management (iAM) system for detailed analysis and preventative maintenance planning

• is available with fully integrated ethernet, which is compatible with EtherNet/IP Modbus TCP and PROFINET protocols
• IQT3F Pro range are available with multiport functionality allowing control of multiport valves, allowing the input or output of product to be diverted to any one of 3 to 16 ports

• is available with closed-loop control, incorporating the on-off/bang-bang control or PID control methodologies that are typically used in a PLC or discrete PID controller
